Looking for something decent with a nice sound. had been looking at Dali Lektor 1s' and monitor audio bx2 (only cos they won what hifi awards and i dont really know what i'm looking at  ) until i stumbled across our non classifieds section and found a big base of stereo lovers here. So i guess i'm looking for something like the above and not too old and in really nice condition. cheers

What amplification are you using? - it does make a difference as to the speakers you can have. Looking at the speakers you have been considering I may have something you would like...

I have a pair of Epos M5i speakers in Cherry finish that I have been messed around with on eBay (non payers).

I'd let them go for £200 inc if you are interested, they were £479 when new.

hello, they are nice looking speakers. The amp i have is a Marantz PM6010OSE bought on a whim from STW a few weeks back. So forgive my ignorance but can you please tell me what should i know when marrying a set of speakers to an amp :? Ohms and wattage or is there more?

Its character that you need to match up really. Watts etc are not very important so long as you have enough power to get a decent volume without having to turn the dial on the amp to 10! Looking at the amp you have I see from reviews it is 50watts so that is more than adequate for the Epos speakers. It is also smooth with a sweet treble so again, that will suit the Epos's well as they don't like an unruly treble - indeed they do well with Rega amps which are sonically similar in description to the Marantz.

The Epos look even better in the flesh btw :)
