Hi
Looking for some insight from road bike experts.I purchased a set of what i am told are 1970's Lambert pedals. I was hoping to use on a mountain bike crank set. Building a commuter type mountain bike. Got the pedals, they look to be 9/16" dia. But won't thread into any cranks i have. Tried 3 different sets. Do they have a different thread pitch than mountain bikes? Why won't they work? Also, threades don't have that nice sharpness to them. Kind of rounded off.Would that make a difference? Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Roy

I'm surprised they won't fit standard cranks but then again Lambert did make their own chainsets so perhaps they used a non industry standard thread. The pedals look to be in super condition so it's a pity they won't fit.

If I find out any more I'll post back.

EDIT - are you putting them in the correct cranks? Right and left threading remember.

I've just checked Velobase and they say the crank thread is standard -

And if they won't fit at all, and you have no idea what to do with it, please let me know, my Viscount (Lambert) would love to have these nice examples!
