does anyone know if you can still get the good old fashioned chamoix (shammy!) chest protector? my assos windblock top is great but still get the cold chest on a descent.

and i'm not sticking a daily star up my jook either!

:?

We bought some Windstopper fronted thermals a few years ago. Only about 15 quid a pop. Use them all the time now. Any time we train other than ideal weather, just stick one on as an additional bit of protection.

Unfortunately a Google is leading to nothing, except 50 quid designer base layers.

The ones we have are essentially string/mesh vests with a square of windstopper material on the front......

You could probably make your own for a fiver a pop!
