Retro Newbie
Hi. It's been ages since I posted. As the title suggests I bought a bike. Fell in love and had to have it but, I'm sure the handle bars are not correct and maybe even should have gears. Any chance anybody know anything about these bikes.

I'd like to keep it as original as poss. Love the patina but want the right bars at least.

Thanks peeps

Re:

Brown Bros was a wholesale supplier to the cycle and motor trades. Vindec was their own name brand, and I believe they actually did make bikes up till the late 1930s. Later built by one of the Midlands "Own Name" manufacturers. You can search for this, and perhaps catalogues, but it appears (some of it) to be a Junevile bike from perhaps late 1960s.

If you are UK based before you take it on the public road you will need a front brake.

Shoe between tyre and fork crown will do the trick

Re:

Looks like a beach cruiser type bike.

The front brake could have been removed to make it more 'cool' like many bmx'ers do. Looks like it has a red bmx chain fitted
