Removing Raleigh badge

Do Raleigh badges (from the late 80s) come off for a respray or are they bonded on? If so, where do people get new badges / decals? EBay or are there other places?

Cheers, David

Re:

Thanks for the reply. My badge doesn't actually have the rivets so I think it must be bonded on?

The rivets are not visible from the front. The rivets were formed as part of the badge when it was made. They go through two holes in the head tube and were hammered over from inside the head tube to hold it on. That's how it was on my '88 Ritmo.

Ah right, that makes sense. I've just seen the back of a badge on ebay which shows the two pins. I guess once the badge is off it can't be refitted or is there a way to nicely remove it?

On a similar track, does anyone know how the bottom bracket cable guide is usually fitted? Just a threaded screw or a similar rivet?

My Raleigh BB guide is a press fit plastic jobby.

Easiest method of re attaching the badge is with a small dab of silicone sealant or a car badge / trim adhesive like tiger seal.
