Mavic M234

Just acquired an old Peugeot shod with these rims, but can't find anything on Google about them. Are they any good, or am I best swapping to a set of MA40s I have? (They're all on the same hubs)

Re:

1990s, strong, stainless eyelets, a bit on the heavy side for the road. Profil PSP meant the walls had a very small angle to better match brake blocks of cantis I believe. 231s were more common, found in 26inch spec on mountain bikes as a narrow rim, made up into a decent touring/commuter/winter wheel...

Re:

Gavr, you're a legend. Thanks very much, it's genuinely appreciated. I'm chasing weight savings on a Vitus 980 build so MA40's it is then...
