Richmond frame info

Has anybody got any info on a frame called Richmond,not the raleigh one,it has a sticker saying made in japan on it also the frame numbers are on the bottom of the seat tube,the crank end,has 600 groupset,and shimano stamped on frame dropouts

Richmond cycles in Richmond upon Thames, used to sell their own brand of bikes under the Richmond name. You could get them in 531 or frames that were made in Japan.

A picture of the bike may help to identify it.

You could try contacting Richmond Cycles and see if they can be any help identifying the bike. They have a web site which is easy to find with a search.
 
I used the shop a lot all v good quality actually, they did all sorts but we're known as the place to go for touring and tandems and did gr8 wheels,it was an odd place at the time, next to the cinema and 20ft from Richmond bridge itself and every bike sold in the country would of been a mountain bike will look later and see if I ever kept their v nice catalogue if so happy to post
