Hugh Porter vintage frame - Bantel

Looks like someone got their hands on some Hugh Porter decals and badged up a basic, entry level frame as a Bantel tribute :(

Should be 531, campy ends etc.

I thought this might be the case so wouldn't surprise me. Thank god I didn't pay much for it. I bought it for a single speed project.

It's got Nicklin cranks and Davis Components cast bottom bracket. No ID on the dropouts, certainly not Campy!

It definitely doesn't look like a Porter. The frame I have and a few more I have seen have much nicer lugs (and they were Woodrup made)

If your's light, then it's 531

Hugh Porter (like Merckx) had his name on some very cheap bikes.........

His own personal bikes were indeed made by Kevin Sayles at Woodrup and spirited out of theback door.
