Campagnolo Euclid brakes- do they fit touring rims?

I'm thinking about spending a small fortune on a Campagnolo Euclid brakeset just for the cantilever brakes themselves. Does anyone know if they will fit touring bike rims 22 mm wide?

If it's the Euclid cantis rather than U-brakes, should be fine - back in the day when Campag MTB and road groups co-existed it wasn't unknown for the MTB cantilevers to turn up on cyclo-cross bikes (which essentially use narrow 700c racing rims) to give an all-Campag build. The set-up just needs tweaking to bring the pad holders further out from the brake arm than they'd need to be for a wide 26" MTB wheel.

Dear David,

Thanks for the info!

Do you know if the ugly Euclid link wires could be replaced with Shimano ones?

I run Euclid brakes on my Gazelle Champion Mondial ATB. They are nice brakes. Like them more than the Centaurs. Use them with the orginal carriers, but Shimano is no problem.
