Super Record Hubs - some shiny and some dull?

Did some Super Record hubs come shiny and some dull?

I'm shopping for a pair with GP4 tubular rims...I love the looks of these rims but I wish the hubs had a duller look: http://cgi.ebay.com/Campagnolo-Super-Re ... 795wt_1137

Did this bloke polish up the hubs or did some come like that? thanks

They're not anodised. Left long enough without polishing they'll go dull. Polish up easily though

Oh and btw. There were no super record hubs. Just Record which were in both groups.

ahhh...thanks for that, i would love to find a set with some patina
I just missed an auction in the US but the rims weren't quite right

I may end up hitting this auction, we'll see

I got instant patina on my campy hubs by badly polishing with autosol then riding in the rain. They went smoky grey colour...
