Emmelle Cadet

Retro Newbie
Just bought this Emmelle cadet on ebay for a bargain price however I have done it without thinking the whole thing through. I am planning on converting it to singlespeed and using it as a hack bike at uni in September however it now turns out that the cadet may in fact be a child's bike. Can anyone advise about the wheel size/possibly frame size of this bike ? I will post pictures once I have collected the bike.
Cheers

It all depends on how tall you are! Frame size is easily measured along the seat tube with a tape measure. Wheel size will be on the tyres after 'ETRTO' and will be the tyre bead seat diameter in mm.
I agree it looks like something with 24" wheels.
I hope you didn't pay more than around £30 as it is very basic indeed.

Yikes. Never go on eBay when you get home from the pub

That is indeed a child's bike. I reckon those are 24" wheels and the frame is tiny.

Emmelle was a brand of Moore Large who are a distributor. They were cheap and nasty, so probably now viewed with some sense of irony. Find yourself a little hipster and pass it on.
