Lo pro bullhorns

I'm building a retro 26:28 lo pro using bull horns; any recommendations for mounting standard aero brake levers and cables? Under the tape or drill the bars for internal routing ?

Thanks!

I would never recommend rilling bars if you intend to ride it. Weakens the bar a lott, I would not risk it. Breaking bars tend to cause crashes.

Not sure how you'd get them under the tape.

Drilling will be fine: the holes will be close to the end of the bar.

But, the cable routing will be poor: very tight bend where the cable first enters the bar.

Better to use non-aero levers and enter via the top of the bar.

yes, but there will need to be second drillings near to the stem to get the cables out. That is where the danger lies
I'm with B1975 on this

Re:

Most road stems are constructed stronger than xc mountainbike stems, because the forces applied are higher. Don't drill holes in road bars!

Re:

The 3ttt stems I have that are drilled are a factory item specifically for C record and similar levers. Are they composed of a different alloy than 'normal' bars?
