Downtube clamp issue?

Shimano tried their own style of bosses in the 70's but are rare and for the most part they are Campag style and the Gipiemme will fit. Does the braze on boss have a square backing plate? If so it's Campag style. If it's round with an extra square bit at the front then it's a rare Shimano one.

Any pics of your bosses?

Some googling should show you the difference.

Re:

Here are some pics of the bosses. I don't have the Gipiemme levers yet, the seller is asking 15 euros for them but they don't have the mounting bushings and paraphernalia. For 30 euros he is giving me an additional campagnolo lever set with a mounting set which fits the Gipiemme levers, but those aree braze-on too. He also mentioned that he tried the Gipiemme levers on Shimano bosses but it wasn't a good fit.

Ah! Those are a band on downtube shifters you have and not braze on. Personally I'd hunt for the whole band on set as swapping and changing can be a problem.

Measurements: 6.2mm the flat part, 9,1mm the rounded axle part, and 14,8 the round part on the base

Re:

I don't want to spend 30 euros for not being able to use the parts, that's why I asked. Would the Campagnolo braze on mounts fit clamp-on bracelets?
