Rapid rise mechs.

I like mine when i remember it's there. I spend most of my rides on the inbred correcting gear changes

From an engineering point of view they aren't a great idea as it's the spring that has to do all the work for downshifts. When the spring weakens the shift suffers. Using it for upshifts where it's less critical is more sensible.

However, rapid rise work very well on drop bar bikes with bar-end shifters. In lower gears the barcon points down and so away from your knees if riding out of the saddle.
