GT Zaskar seat post bolt

Hi,

I need a new seatpost bolt and sheaf for my trusty GT Zaskar frame (7 years old)

I've tried absolutely loads of shops in London asking where I can get a replacement and I've had no luck whatsoever. I've contacted GT, but they didn't reply. It's driving me mad as it's stopped me riding for weeks' now!

Would anyone know where I can get a replacement from?

just put a qr on it for now

try hotwheels as their importers for them

Hi Mikee, I don't think it's possible is it, as the clamp can't be removed, it's part of the frame?

its not part of the frame,unless its been welded on by someone??? take the bolt out and see if you can lever the clamp open a little with a large screwdriver,i bet its just corroded in place a little giving you the impression its part of the frame..if you can get it off then it opens up lots of options for replacement clamps like this- http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=31892

hi, just checked again and it definitely is part of the frame - it's an all in one (see attached)

probably a M6 bolt, easily can be picked up

it is part of the frame
you'll find a hope seat q/r removed from the hope clamp can be fitted
no problem
i know i have one on mine

hi all, thanks for all the help!

Here's a couple of shots of the sodding thing - note the bolt is a bodge that sheared off after tightening too tightly (ho hum)
