rock shox judy steerer tube

Is it poss to remove the steerer tube on a set of rock shox judys?
Ive seen a set i like but the steerer is about 40mm too short!
 
Depends on the age of the judys, early ones have 2 bolts on each slider the later ones are cast all in one? :? You could do what I did I just transfered the whole bottom end over ?
 
you can change the whole T , steerer and crown if bolted .

but to change only the steerer you need an industrial press and you need to know what you are doing . ;)
