If you mean that they have a kind of snakeskin appearance, then I still ride my 217 Ceramics like that.
The thing to be mindful of is loss of braking. Incidentally, I'm told that the flaking comes from overcooking the rim. Thermal expansion of the Alu cracks the coating.
