Hello,

A (very generous) friend of mine gave me his '92 Scott Pro Racing Mountain Bike and this summer, time allowing, I'd like to get it looking like it did back in the 90's. Basically just replacing any worn moving parts as it has been well used, but is in good working shape.

Presumably the parts used in the original are no longer made, but has anyone recently rebuilt one and used similar modern parts that would be fitting to the vibe of the original bike.

I will probably respray the frame and apply new decals (if they are available) and I need new yellow handlebar tape to match the forks.

I'm just a 50 year old man who's a bit overexcited about an old bike ....

Neil
