frame headset sizes problems

Just a question about headset size, it's possible that you can use ahead stem on 215mm forks steerer on 150mm frame headset tube? it seem a little tight by the time you fitted a headset on the frame or should I go for a smaller frame headset tube to make it work?

Any tip/advice will be useful please.

depends on height of headset , but as long as stem is higher by 3/4mm max above steerer , should be ok .

a chris king has about 32mm stack height. would leave 33mm for the stem which is just enough for e.g. a Thomson stem and most other stems. each mm counts though so better be sure that the measurements are really accurate. you may want to put a short piece of cut-off steerer tube into the stem atop of the steerer tube before you tighten it to ensure that the stem doesn't deform.
