Seperating Ringle Ti Stik Skewers

I'm wanting to dismantle my Ringle skewers to get them re anodised. I have separated skewers before but that usually involves a blow torch and sometimes the rod is sacrificed as they get chavelled up by the use of pliers. I would like to try and get the skewers apart without damage. Did ringle use Loctite on the threads?

Any advice gratefully recieved

Re:

Can´t speak specifically about Ringle, but I´ve separated Fast Feather skewers by locking two nuts together on the threaded end (screwed against each other), then using a wrench to separate the axle from the barrel. These had Loctite on them, so using heat to soften the bond was beneficial. Some Ti axles are a bit softer than steel, so care has to be taken to not strip the threads with the locked together nuts.

Hope that helps
Dr

Re:

That sounds like a plan, will head to the garage to give it a go and report back. Cheers

Re:

Skewers separated without any fuss, an excellent method to add to my armoury. Thanks for taking the time to reply and post a pic.
