Can someone advise me as to what cleats are compatible with which pedals?
I know one make work with the other, but not the other way round, if that makes sense

Thanks

Mike

Re:

I use Shimano SPD cleats with Ritchey clipless pedals with no issues :)

Re:

Hmmmm, thanks chaps ;)

Must be Ritchey cleats that aren't compatible with Shimano pedals then

I have a even split of Ritchey and Shimano Spuds on my bikes. Ritchey pedals do work with SPD cleats but not perfectly. They actually get better with use. I had a bunch of NOS ritchey pedals and they were not a great match at first ... so much so I almost changed them. After a few 100 kms ... all good. I suppose there are a few contours there that just need to be worn in the right way :)

Never thought about it before. Most of my vintage bikes have 737's on them but I know I have a Potts and a Ritchey road with Ritchey pedals. I go back and forth with them all using the original cleats that came with two different pairs of SIDI shoes. At 225 lbs I weigh a lot, reef down the tension on the pedals and have never felt a unique issue going back and forth.
