Re:

I'm sorry but i reckon thats not a Marin at all but a Giant Cadex that has been resprayed. Marins never used Lugs like that and it has the "bolt on" rear dropouts.

@gruff Really appreciate your help. Ive been searching for days for info about the marin bike just to find out that its a giant bike. :)

Ok thanks for the reply..at first I wondered, as most of these were polished frames, wether it was a country adapted paint job. Sometimes one country may get a slightly different paint from another. Then I wondered if it had been resprayed as the decals looked not quite right which may raise the point is it another make that's been repainted and then had marin stickers on? But then a closer look particulary at the frame.

Going out on a limb, I do not think it's a marin at all as gruff mentions

found an old thread which had an early cadex and your frame looks similar

viewtopic.php?t=165262

the joins on the cadex look far smoother and an easier transition than the ones on yours

Re:

Just checked the 1993 Giant catalogue in the archive and i think its definately a Cadex probably with carbon main tubes.
Though which one i couldn't tell.

Thank you guys for the help. Bike is not mine and its currently posted at our local facebook trading page.
Owning a Miyata super ridge runner (i think) and a Sakae litage mtb did help bring up my interest in buying
this bike but i'm not getting the right information about it from my google searches. That's how I end up
looking for help here. :)
