Cooks Cranks

Here we go...

Does anyone remember a set of Cooks cranks from early-to-mid nineties which were RSRs but rather than having the standard 'Cook brothers' etched on them had the logo made from the spaces between the letters instead...? Think they were known as the 'runes' cranks or something because the logo looked like a set of runes - but I'm probably just making that up...!

Also...if one has a non-drive-side crank arm with a crack running to the bb-spindle-end threads (but not into them) from the outside of the arm (makin sense...!!) would it be possible to repair it? Crank arm is alu, and was wondering if poss to weld-patch it up? Wouldn't look pretty I'm sure but is it poss and would the strength be ok?

Right essay over... recollections, thoughts? Ta all.

I know the logo style you mean, the later cook bros stems were the same, do a search on bikepro on google for the stem. Sorry to say the crank wont be repairable :(
