RockShox Judy SL - Adding air

They're pretty old but still hold air..

I assumed the + - on the bottom of the left leg would stiffen them up a bit but when I turned it the forks started making a squishing sound after retightened. I know I can add it with a foosball needle but where and how?

Judy are MCU, Elastomer or Spring or a bit of each. NOT air

(As standard, but then you would know if you had air carts in them).

My 2002 judy xc is air assist (spring and air)

The -/+ at the bottom is the rebound, this could make a squish noise as it is allowing/restricting oil though a small hole. You may have some trapped air in the damper rod.

Yes football valve will work, if you have one of the more open cap to fit one in if attached to a hand/track pump.....but you need a guage to read how much air is going in..........look on the crown of the fork foe a serial number.......will start with the year......ie 01 /02 etc
