I'm running my Torus as 1X8 using a Middleburn UNO and the chain keeps coming off the front ring. Any ideas why. It wasn't doing it last week.

Thanks,
Matt

Could be the crank has become very slightly loose, or the bottom bracket.

If it was OK before, then something must have changed.

Cranks and BB both seem solid.

Chain stays on when rotating the cranks forward or when rotating the wheel backwards, but if I spin the cranks backwards the chain jams between the cassette and the top jockey wheel and then when I spin the crank forwards again it drops the chain on the inside.

I'd check to see if any stiff links, bit of something stuck in links maybe ? give chain a good clean ?

No components have been changed?
Bent tooth, front or rear?
twisted chain, broken link?
Bent mech/ hanger?
Double check the crank/BB tightness, with the appropriate tools.

Thanks for the input everyone. Turned out the lower jockey wheel was sticking. Probably the last bit of authentic Cotswolds mud from the HONC.

And I've cleaned it twice since last Sunday.

Now as smooth as a baby's bum. :D
