Hi,

I have a Merlin Malt alloy frame owned from new in 1997.

After many years in a garage it has just a had a full polish and rebuild (thread soon) but some advice would be much appreciated.

Can I ask what seatpost diameter should I be using? The seatpost I have had from new is 31.6mm (Acor) but it inserts so far and thats it. How I ever managed to ride it back in the day while balancing on a sky high perch I just dont know!

So should i try another 31.6mm or go for something slightly smaller?

any help much appreciated
