Team volvo Aluminium frame repair?

10 years ago i sold my dale f700 Volvo team colours to a mate. I have not seen him for years as he moved to sweden but managed to catch up with him at the weekend. I asked what happened to the bike thinking he would have sold it years ago but he still has it hanging in his dads garage. problem is there is a small hole in the rear stay where the wheel was badly aligned and the tyre after a race wore through.
I would love to get this back but will only do so if a repair is achievable. Anybody done this before?
 
Just needs a patch tigging in & a repaint in the immediate area.
Its not actual structural damage so should be Ok after a repair, but assuming this is in the chainstay, its certainly not the ideal place for a repair.
 
Thanks mate and yes it is the chain stay although I have not actually seen the damage. I love the idea of getting my old bike back after these years :)
