okay another amazingly stupid question from me (well 2 actally)...........

I am running a 24 36 46 front chainring setup, am i correct in saying this is not microdrive ?

Also i have seen some nice small black road cassettes are they compatible with my xt setup ?

thi is not micordrive. Likely standard 5 bolt ATB pattern 74/110. 74mm bolt circle for the granny, and 110 for the others.

microdrive is 50 something (mindblock)/94
grannys down to 20. You can get 'big rings' (I have a load of cooks 48's), but small spiders mean flexy rings when you get 50T plus. Its why road spiders are 130, so the spider doesn't flex.

Microdrive is not for me. . ..
