Hi
Bought a used mech thinking it was normal top and its not.Whilst I doubt that it can be changed is there any way it can be made to operate as a normal top

I don't think so as the spring is mounted the bizarro world way (opposite).

I could be wrong of course.

Its a deore lx megarange.If its just a case of reversing the spring it should be pretty obvious if it can be done or not. Did wonder if there was any gadget on the market to do it. Thanks for the replies. Most appreciated

Not only is the spring reversed but also the pull is from the back parallelogram not the front.
So no, not possible.

cheers everyone. Ok so not possible.Will bung it back on e bay at some point . However unlike the one who sold it to me it will be listed as a bottom normal. Thanks again
