Suntour was a bicycle component company, which developed and manufactured full groupsets for road and mountian bikes. It was known for its innovative solutions. Suntour was the first company to market a trigger-shifter for operating derailleurs. Suntour manufactured their own products and would also outsource manufacturing of lower end parts to companies such as Sugino. The company went bust in the early 1990s, after the STI/derailleur wars waged by the Japanese company Shimano.

It later resurrected under new ownership and a different business modell, manufacturing amongst others suspension forks.
