1984 Miyata RidgeRunner

The RidgeRunner was the first mountainbike model Miyata offered. It was introduced in 1984. The first RidgeRunner had a welded frame contruction. In later years Miyata switched to brazing with lugs. The RidgeRunner name disappeared with the introduction of the Elevation line in 1991.

Greg Herbold conquered the 1990 UCI DH World Title on a Miyata RidgeRunner with Rock Shox RS-1 fork.
