did a first pass on the brakes and the polishing wheel to see what they would look like - think with a little bit more work they will look fantastic

Re:

Bit more work on the cranks and brakes tonight. Still waiting for my finishing polish to arrive but don't look too bad

Re: Marin Team Titanium 1990

spent a bit of time with this over the weekend - most of the gear on it was just in need of a good clean and a little polish. Ive added the ritchey forks, ti bars, xt levers and thumbies and some lovely wolber at18/m730 wheels. Gave everything a good clean and cable up with some nice period correct cables too!

Tempted to put a pair of 1990 pre answer doug bradbury forks on too.

Re:

Great job. Looking fabulous. Lovely attention to detail. Yu did a great rescue job on this.

Now....re 89-90 raw to ones

There’s yours.
There’s one in Sussex.
There’s a 1990 frame hanging in my workshop
And there’s the one on Switzerland

And I think that’s it.

Re: Marin Team Titanium 1990

A couple of updates to parts as something was just not sitting right on it for me so...

out go - seatpost (Xt is nice but heavy), brake pads, forks, seat QR

in come - better seatpost, new seat QR and a hite-rite, brake pads (black koolstop), cable hangers and some very fancy new forks (non-suspension)

tyres have been changed from 2.1 smoke and dart classics to 1.95 Wolbers - they match the rims and I think the slightly thinner tyres look better.

Ill get some more photos when the weather allows

Re: Marin Team Titanium 1990

a small (but pretty cool in my mind) update today

Man these things are hard to setup - probably need new springs in them too as I think they should have specific left/right springs
