For Sale Various parts clearout (mostly road) - Ultegra, Dura Ace, Mavic & more

Added some photos. The left hand lever has a scrape to the chrome finish (plastic part) at the top and a scratch down the lever blade where the Ultegra logo is, but nothing much else significant to report I don't think.

For Sale Various parts clearout (mostly road) - Ultegra, Dura Ace, Mavic & more

Time for a clearout after a couple of different changes of direction on recent builds. I have various parts left over, mostly for road/gravel. Please add the postage cost of the service of your choice - of course I'll combine for any multiple purchases. Details and pictures of all the bits are...

    Walterscot feedback

@Walterscot replied to my wanted ad for a few links of spare Shimano chain - offered me just what I needed and wouldn't even take money to cover the postage. What a gent!

Sorted A few links from a new/ish Shimano 11 Speed chain - sorted

I'm going to be near some big climbs in a couple of weeks and fancy giving one or two a go while I'm there, only I want some bigger sprockets at the back to get me up steep stuff! I've got a new cassette on the way but I'm going to need to lengthen my chain, I'd guess by a few links or so. It's...

It's all over, the Chain Reaction homepage is now showing a link to... Evans Cycles 😕

    Last chain reaction cycle orders?

Mine too, 9 days after ordering. All items in the order were received together, sensibly packaged and in one box. No complaints here either at £20 posted for this lot:

Anyone running TPU inner tubes yet?

I've had two phases in recent years when I tried to switch to the orange Tubolito tubes on a road bike, I've just removed my last one. Essentially similar experiences. They are light, and if you already run very light wheels and light tyres, you can feel that reduction in weight when you hold...

    Last chain reaction cycle orders?

Looks like the Wiggle/CRC sites are offline now, although if it really is closing down then the message is odd "We're out building new jumps and switchbacks for the Chain Reaction site." I always suspected the free Haribo with each order wasn't financially sustainable for them in the long run...

    WTF are these drop-bar bikes?!?

Yes, and in the 70s even. Maybe something like this, modified with 26" wheels to allow for fat tyres? https://simplicityvintagecycles.com/2012/09/07/1983-univega-specialissima/ https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-bicycles-whats-worth-appraisals/1190780-univega-specialissima.html

    WTF are these drop-bar bikes?!?

My first thought looking at that head badge is Univega: My first MTB was a '93ish Univega, with this head badge logo in white. And the forks look similar to me to the ones on these old drop bar Univegas (the one below is a Viva Sport)

Wanted Modern (sorry) - SRAM eTap road groupset

Very long shot but I'll put it out there - I'm currently on the lookout for a SRAM eTap 2x11 electronic rim brake road groupset: shifters and derailleurs mainly, but willing to consider brakes/cranksets too. Or maybe even a bike that has a set on already?

    Madison Zenith shorts

Those look great, thanks for posting - any advice on sizing? I'm about 32" waist, though the size guide has that as Large?!

    WTF are these drop-bar bikes?!?

Ah, those carefree days when you would ride sharp rocky terrain (no track) along the top of a breezy canyon on the drops of a bike a couple of sizes too big - wearing a flower, though no helmet 😬

For Sale Canyon Ultimate CF SLX Road frameset, Size L

The frameset is still here while I dither over building the frameset up myself - I can look into getting a box and packaging it if anyone needs it posted

For Sale Canyon Ultimate CF SLX Road frameset, Size L

Ideally not - I wouldn't mind posting by ParcelForce if I had a suitable box and adequate packaging to keep it safe in transit, but I haven't got any at the moment and no easy way of getting hold of them
