I'm getting bits together for my latest project, an '89 RM Stratos. Does anyone know the axle length for the BB on this model?

I picked this up from the original owner, it's a 531 frame and fork with Campy dropouts and pantographed stays. Apparently he bought it as a frameset around 1980. It's a bit banged up but straight, no dents or cracks. The BB is pretty strange.

I have some 600 Tricolour brifters that I disassembled and got working. Now I can't get them back together with the return spring, since I don't have that weird tube-like Shimano tool. Anyone got any ideas about what to use to reassemble these things?
