I'm after a real cheap, free up to about 20 quid ish..... bike, something like 18-19 inch, not bothered about what particularly, but working basically I'm away on holiday at the end of July, and want something that I won't worry about being stolen, or scratched by trailgator.... etc etc...

I thought I'd build something a bit more modern, so after a clear out, I kept the pace rc200 f3, because I like the way it rides most, but fancied a 9 speed setup, bouncier forks, and disc brakes.... but I got scared and out of my depth at the end of the century, so ended up with an rc200 f8...

well I have decided to have a bit of a sort out.... so am selling my '95 Nickel P7 19" it is a '95 bike, it has full XT group, except the headset..... which is LX, but I will include a XT headset with it, and the wheels are LX parrallax on mavic M231s the saddle is a bit damaged too...

I have been thinking about building a bike for my daughter, rather than buying a islabike.... so the question is, if I buy a small retro frame, then get some 24" wheels, that will give me quite a small bike... I can get some cranks with a shorter length made up, and fit some 24" forks...

starting to build up a '97 orange p7 into a singlespeeder ( :roll: that's bike 4) and need a seatpost for it.... I'm pretty sure from measuring and checking the archives it's 26.4.... but if it sounds wrong, please let me know! it's a 17" frame, and I'm 6'1" so it needs to be quite long...

the head bearings failed on my orange, swapped for what I could lay my hands on...... LX but the rest of the bike is XT and I'm a bit anally retentive :oops: so I'd like to swap back to XT if I can get one.... John
