Sub 5 - does it still cut it

Hi, Coming from the other (road) side, I've been offered an Orange Sub 5 for sale. Does it still cut it as a decent mountain bike considering it is going on for 20 years old? All feedback gratefully received. Cheers, D

Hi all, I'm considering placing an order for a BJ End 2 End but am really struggling with colours. I saw and liked an Audax on the web that was Word Perfect Blue, and it bore bears little or no resemblance to the colour swatch on the BJ website. I'm considering the following colours... Verde...

    Venturelli

My brother in law just purchased this locally. I don't know too much about it but I like the lugged frame with horizontal top tube and chromed rear stay and chrome forks. It has Shimano kit on it, I think Exage 300. Not really sure how good bad or indifferent it is but if anyone has any info...

    Chainring clearance

OK. So had the BB threads chased and new Shimano BB installed. Popped on the chain rings this a.m. and was surprised at how little clearance there is between chain stay and teeth on inner chainring. What do we think - good to go? Or get a BB with a longer square taper shaft?

    Pitted Chainstays on a Raleigh

OK – so I have an early 90’s Raleigh 501 frame (Kelloggs Pro Tour) and was concerned about the level of rust on the chain stays. I rubbed down the rear stays, removed the surface rust and noticed that there are a few small areas that have some minor pitting where the rust was. I’m looking for...
