This project has been a slow burner but is finally done.
The neon green stem is the only deviation from how it was when it left the factory - I still have the original grey one but trying the green for now. There's also a pair of NOS XT pedals with neon green toe straps, that weren't fitted...
Retroheads, I'm rebuilding a 1991 Orange Aluminium 'O' and I'm looking for a flat handlebar. Any 22 inch period correct brand will be fine but would like to fit something painted neon orange or anodised orange, in as good a condition as possible please.
The frame and fork are light grey and the...
I saw this for sale in Brisbane recently. The seller wasn't keen to post or even roll into his lbs, so a fellow retro nut offered to collect it for me. Cheers Paul!
The seller was the original owner. He tells me the fork is factory but ... yeah, I'm not so sure. Think I'll swap it for a Pace...
I'm after a period correct Orange saddle for a 1993/94 Prestige.
Doesn't have to be NOS but good clean condition would be OK.
Something embroidered would also be cool.
What have you got that you're happy to part with?
Many thanks.
I took pity on a rather sad looking Specialized Ground Control A1 recently.
At some point in its life, the rear spring has been replaced with a non-original item, and I'm now looking for an original spring (RST developed with Specialized) or a suitable replacement.
As you can see, the current...
Another recent rescue – this neglected V1000 found itself for sale because the seller’s son wanted a bike he’d seen in K-Mart. True story!
The seller had only ridden it a couple of times in the year he’d owned it, and the guy he’d bought it from had left it untouched in the garage for 10 years...
The SK8 quill stem on my '94 Clockwork is buggered. :|
Does anyone have one they're happy to see go to a good home?
I'm after like-for-like - so silver, 22.2 dia, 130mm reach, for a 25.4 bar, VGC or better if possible.
Many thank yous! :D
This appeared on aussie Ebay recently. The bidding began at a high number, but not an unreasonable one given its condition. I tried my best not to buy it, but it was 20 minutes down the road and I couldn't resist (and no-one else seemed interested).
I'm the third owner - the original one...
Can any kind soul please help me with a collection from Kettering? All you have to do is collect the bike and drop it off at your local bike store. I can arrange boxing up and courier from there. Of course, beer etc will be provided. :)
Many thanks.
Jon
You don't see many of these down under.
I picked this up from the original owner over the Easter weekend - I reckon it's 1994 vintage, but happy to be corrected.
One of the wheels has been replaced at some time, and it was wearing commuting tyres, but other than that it appears to be as bought...
Does anyone have a Marin saddle from around 1994 / 95 with the magenta / pinky-purple anodised rails? I'm after one for a rebuild.
Other coloured rails considered too (for other builds). :)
Many thanks.
I’ve never owned a ProFlex. Never even ridden one. I remember seeing them around back in the day – one of the local bikes shops in SW London used to sell them – so when this 1997 757 came up for sale it caught my attention.
It's mostly original but for the riser bar, chainset and pedals (and...
I'm after a few anodised parts for a Marin rebuild - in the darker 'Cadbury' purple colour.
Bottle cages, bar ends, seat clamp etc etc, in as good a condition as I can get please.
Let me know what you're happy to part with. :D
Many thanks.
I missed out on a 1993 Marin Team Issue frame recently, so am on the hunt for another.
Does anyone have a 19 inch (c-t-c) they'd be happy to part with? Preferably from around 1993, frame or complete bike, in as good a condition as possible please. :D
I have a 1993 17.5 inch frame and fork I...
I do like this colour - Ocean Blue / Green. It was in my size, little used, one owner ... and in the U.S, collection only. Bugger!
I emailed the seller and he was cool to drop it off at his local bike shop. I contact his local shop and they're happy to box it up and hand over to a courier if I...
Living in Oz you see quite a few bike brands you don't see much of back in Blighty - one of which is Shogun (or at least, I don't recall seeing them in the UK). Now, I don't know much about Shogun, other than they're Japanese and I've seen a couple online which I thought looked OK. And one of...
