    Bianchi Volpe winter project

I bought this frame and a bag of parts from my local bike co-op last week. The lot contains the original everything except the seatpost, saddle, and wheels. I've been looking for a Bianchi Project 5 or 7 for a long time and I think I'll like this one even more. I thought it was a touring frame...

    Sachs/Huret thumbshifter remount

When my 300LX rapidfire shifter blew up in 1992 I replaced them with these lovely ratchetting thumbshifters bought from a pro framebuilder in my hometown who specced Huret components. I credit them with giving me the retro bug. Not long after, my low end mountain bike had New Success derailleurs...

    Bridgestone MB2 '91

I bought this here from a member in 2015. It went through a couple cockpit arrangements: softride stem, flat bars, dirt drop stem, but now I'm finally happy with it. I guess the only thing that would make it perfect would be a small Carradice saddlebag. I've ridden it on our local singletrack...

    91 Bridgestone MB-2

Just got this in the mail today from dresdladiory, a 46 cm repainted 1991 MB-2. It's a beauty, very nicely finished, colours are much better than my night time photos show. I've been looking for a Bridgestone for years but they're usually too big for me. I'll build a fork for it using a...

    Homemade Frame

I started with this thread viewtopic.php?f=7&t=272475&hilit=framebuilding+too#p2035100 The frames a lightweight at 1.8 kg using Nivacrom 7/5/7 and Nova lugs, the fork is built with an old Tange crown. I sprayed it with 2-part auto epoxy. My goal was to build a light, fast mountain bike with...

    Merlin Taiga - opinions?

There's a Merlin Taiga for sale locally, it seems they were available in '96, '97 and '98. Reviews online are favourable but complain about the weight (for a Ti frame). Does anyone know where they were made?

    Silver chromo stem

Looking for a silver quill stem for a 1" steer tube (22.2mm quill) 120-130mm, 5-10 degrees rise. Ritchey preferred but I'm open-minded. Shipping to Canada V8R 3T4. Thanks!

    Bianchi Denali RC

So one of my unicorns has been an early 90s Bianchi Grizzly and then I found this in Vancouver. Reparto Corse, made in Italy from nivachrome with some very cool features. I just picked it up today and I'm pretty stoked about it. I have a nice, light Tange fork that will probably be a good fit...

    Brooks B72 Saddle

For sale: Brooks B72 saddle. infrequently ridden over about three years, there are a few small scuffs but it's in good condition. I want to like it but don't find it as comfortable as a B17. $65CDN shipped to Canada, Europe, US or the UK. I can throw in a short, straight 27.2 black post in good...

    1992 Rocky Mountain Blizzard

I just picked up this project. A friend had a 92 blizzard back then and I always wanted one. I think I'll strip it, paint it and re-sticker it. I'll also keep my eye out for a 27.0 syncros post, possibly a shorter stem too.

    What year is this Blizzard?

This is being advertized as a '93 but the paint doesn't match any of the '90s catalogues I found. Has it been resprayed or was this an optional paint job? The seatstay-seat tube junction looks more like a '94. Thanks in advance, Ted

    Hubs and Levers

Picked up an ebay lot for $80 shipped. Three pair of NOS XC Pro brake levers and six NOS XT hubs. Strangely came with four tire liners. I love the random nature of ebay lot sales.

    '87 Jamis Dakar

I bought this in '95 and have used it as a commuter with fenders, slicks and upright bars until today. Everything is original except for the saddle, seatpost binder, bars, tires and chainrings. I'll clean it up and keep an eye out for black Nitto bars and a quick release binder like it used to...
