    Eroica's coming to the UK

It's something I've known about (but been keeping quiet about for the past 6 months), but the Eroica is coming to the UK in 2014. http://www.wheelsuckers.co.uk/profiles/blogs/l-eroica-uk-2014-peak-district It will be based in the White Peak, probably in the summer. I've got my ear to the...

    Italio Zilioli Bikes

Anyone heard of Italio Zilioli bikes ? (I know he was quite a handy rider back in the day an suspect that they are badged up by a company playing on his success).

    eBay Shipping question

I've seen a bike listed on eBay Italy and the seller has got the shipping costs to the UK at the top of the listing as €50. In the actual listing they state 'please contact the seller for international shipping costs'. IMHO €50 seems a bit low for shipping a complete bike to blighty. Does...

    Nice piece on Cinelli

Call me bias, but here's a good article on the recently published book on Cinelli and an interview with Antonio Colombo http://www.core77.com/blog/videos/cinellis_antonio_colombo_on_the_infinite_possibilities_of_the_bicycle_24265.asp

    Manchester Bike Jumble this Sunday

Is anyone else of to the Manchester Bike Jumble in the Velodrome this Sunday ? I've got a stall there and the organiser has e-mailed me to say that it's still one. Hopefully I'll make it there as long as there is not too much snow in the Peak before then.

    Andy Hampstens 1988 Huffy

Quite an old article, but still an interesting read about Andy Hampsten's bike that he used on the Gavia. Is it me or were pro-cyclists 'arder then ?: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/historic-pro-bike-andy-hampstens-1988-7-eleven-huffy-giro-ditalia-26181/

    Cycle Show NEC

I went to the Cycle Show at Birimingham's NEC today. Lot's of the major manufacturers have steel bikes on show- Pinarello, Colnago, Raleigh and Condor and even Ribble to name but a few. I got a nice piccy of a 'new' Pinarello but I wish the bloke in the background had not spoilt my shot...

New restomod project - Cinelli Unica

I was after a new summer bike but wanted a steel framed bike as I'm not to fussed about carbon (I can only stretch to the low end carbon frames and I know a few folks who've had problems). So I've bought myself this - a Cinelli Unica. It's in fairly good nick and I got it for a decent price...

    Mafac Brake Hoods

Hi Does anyone know if Dia Compe non aero brake hoods will fit on MAFAC brake levers. I know that the Cane Creek ones are meant to (allegedly - before someone shoots me down in flames !), but the branding looks a little more subtle on the Dia Compe's plus they are cheaper. thanks Paul

    Peugeot PVN10 Super Competition

Just bought a Peugeot PV10N Super Competition frame in blue that's going off to be resprayed and stickered and used as my uber-best bike. I'm going to move quite a few bits from my Mercier over too it and sell the Mercier frame (lack of space unfortunately) and hopefully pick up some bits...

    Late 70's Mercier

Just bought a late 70's Mercier as a winter project. I'm aiming to upgrade it using parts that were around in the 70's. I've already started by aquiring a ideale leather saddle and Stronglight 93bis chainset and am after a matching Normandy Hub for the back wheel. Current spec as follows...
