Whyte PRST1 Axles

Hello All,

I’m hoping to find some wisdom regarding the Whyte PRST-1. I bought this bike for a freind a few days ago and we were looking at taking some of the deore kit off it and putting some interesting parts on it. I’ve found some mavic crossmax sl scc wheels that would look great, but I was wondering how to get whyte’s proprietary axle into QR 135 hub. Is it even possible? Or is it a simple hub service but swap the axles while you’re at it? Thanks for the help if anyone knows!

One of these should do it, although you may well be able to dismantle your current one and reuse it.

You just use a 8mm (I think) socket on each side of your current wheels to remove the Whyte axles and then use them on the wheels you are going to fit next.

Wonderful, it would be a shame to have to remove the whyte axle for good so that’s brilliant I don’t have to convert the frame to qr
