What do I have? Please help identify my frame.

My friend has just given me this bike.

He bought it second hand in 1997, when he bought it he said it was luminous/acid yellow and had Fast Eddies on the downtube. Was it mis represented?

Full STX apart from a XT rear hub and cheap sh*t plastic bottom bracket. 1 1/8" steerer, spaced at 135mm. 19"c-t, top tube 21"c-c

I can find very little on Fast Eddies, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along and fill in the blanks. What are the rims, not seen this shape before? Thanks for getting this far.

no clue about the frame, to me rather one of the many 7005 aluminum frames without special details or features,
the rims look like Rigida DP22, Rodi Airline, etc.
Are the hubs Shimano STX RC?

Thanks for replying, front is STX unsure if RC. Rear hub is old style XT.

Got a very similar frame a long time ago, never been able to ID it, used it as donor bike, as it was full XT and had a very nice Flite saddle on it..

Any ID(eas) on this unknown red frame?

The headtube on mine is 1 1/4", BTW. And it has a slightly different connection between the stay.
I can check once again for a serial under the BB shell.

Thanks, the top tube fittings are different on yours, the drop outs attach directly rather than the neat taper on yours. Your c/s have a funky bend whereas mine are straight. Nice bike, have to say I rather like both
