....but we simply can't afford such expensive infrastructure, we have matters of far greater importance to attend to with the public purse - HS2 / smart motorways / priority PPE contacts / BREXIT / (free market) bank bailouts......why can't every country just follow our model and be successful, cohesive and happy just like us?

Very lucky in this part of England. Good bike network. I do use about 3 miles of road on my 11 mile commute to city centre but could cut that down to less than 1. Not anywhere else I'd want to be. Enjoy the snow when we get it.
