Refurbishing Mavic Rims

Hi all,

Struggling to find a suitable condition 36h Mavic D521 rim in CD finish.

Has anyone here managed to get the rims recoated as per CD so to speak?

Aware a powder coat option would be possible, but spoke holes would also be covered, but interested to see others experiences?

I don't think you can do much with a rim with eyelets. If I recall you can't go putting any other metals in the anodizing bath.

The finish itself probably wouldn't be that hard to replicate, it's just some kind of hard anodizing as opposed to color ano.

Thank you for that. Yeah it’ll just have to be a spray job and cover the eyelets. Least it will look better
