Query about my shopper bike

Hi I’ve just bought a Marlboro, Bel aire shopper bike, it’s dark gold with orange/pink logos has check back saddle bag. It’s 80’s I think 3 shirmano gears, 20” tyres.
I was trying to look up info on bike make, I think it’s a Darlaston company who then bought two other brands and then sold to falcon. But anyone know history of this company?? Did it carry on?? Is it still in production? I can’t find model of bikes info anywhere either.

The Marlboro name appeared on a range of entry level bikes during the late 1970s/early 1980s bike boom, being built near Stourbridge. Although the company marketed bikes under that name, from what I remember a fair amount of their production was 'own brand' badged for the likes of Halfords.
No connection between those bikes and the folding MTB made by Fuji for a Marlboro tobacco promotion.
