Back in 2013 I bought a Sonos Play 3 speaker. The plan was to add additional speakers to create a multi room system, but here we are 10 years later and it remains the only one šŸ˜‚
Anyway itā€™s now pretty obsolete, and itā€™s starting to show, so Iā€™m looking to replace it. The plan is still to have speakers in more the one room, eventually. My question is, does anyone recommend something else, or should I stick with Sonos?

If it makes a difference:

We usually play music through our phones, via Spotify (my speaker doesnā€™t have voice control). The wife and I have just switched from Apple to Google phones, though the kids still have iPhones.
My only physical music now is vinyl. I currently have no means of playing it and Sonos do their own turntable, so that could be a future option.

You could just bulk buy a load of Echos or Google Speakers or similar.
Build it up as you go.

Grab them when they are priced low, never full price.
Sound quality is fine.

The kids have Echo Dots in their rooms. We have a family Spotify accounts, so all have our own logins. I just canā€™t figure out how to set up the Echo Dots to link with each persons Spotify account šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
