Might be of interest to those with pre war to early 60s Bikes, though I think these were worn in some form right up to the 80s?

Front Rise 13.75"

Rear rise 15"

Waist 36" with adjusters which would take up to about 2" in, equally about 2" to let out on waist

Inside leg is 20", cuffs are 4.5" long, but would most likely be worn with cuffs up so to speak. I'm 5'8 and usually wear a 28" inside leg with turn ups on my "long trousers", these sit about 3" below my knee. These are not long, bellowing plus fours, but are longer than breaks. Probably cut for a Sportsman- a golfer, a walker, maybe a cyclist, etc.



Judging by the lining (which seems to be a poly 'silk') I'd say 50s to 60s, but they do have orginal brace buttons and a Lightning zip.



Other than cuffs, which are not quite as elastic as they once were and have been nibbled or pulled, they are in amazing condition for the age.

I could dig out some less The Coppi Brothers take the Bianchi team golfing images , but yeah I get the point.

I actually have 2 pairs, one which are breeks (much shorter, not quite as obvious) and a pair of long plus sixes. The first are worn for cafe runs on any bike, the others on the Mercian Track/ Path or with the Jack Taylor Tandem.
