Hey all..

Have been chatting with a chap on Ebay who is selling a pair of Action Tec forks that, as it turn sout, were originally paired with a Moots Frame.. The frame has seen better days, and has a few dings etc. as well as a troublesome seized Canti Bolt in the rear..

I have lusted after an Action Tec equipped fork since I saw a photo in MBA back in the day, but I wonder if this Frame is past it.. Wondering if anyone here recognises it, and knows a back story i.e. has it been passed around without any success of removing that Bolt..?

A quick Google for "Moots Action Tec" also surfaced an Ebay Listing for the F&F for £1700..! That photo attached too of the Frame and Fork..

I’ve had titanium parts welded repaired at a local fabrication shop, there are a few here on Poole/Bournemouth I think associated with boat building or aviation historically.
I think if I was having anything drilled out of titanium, I’d take it there. Re-tapping titanium would be hard on tools.

Yeah, the more time I spend thinking about this as a Project, the less enthused I become by the idea of it..!

Looks like a cool project! Shouldn't be too tricky- especially if entrusted with a local specialist.

I’d take the frame at a very low price - could personally justify a couple of hundred for Moots quality even if it turns to wall art or some kind of fixedgear (rear brake less) pub bike!
With the damage, and dents there is always a risk. Sounds like it’s been around the houses recently.
