Manitou HardTail custom front mech/derailleur, XTR M901??

So i've put this bike together finally, and i still need a front derailleur to complete the build. I thought they have the same seat tube diameter as the 93/94 hardtails (a friend of mine have it). I need to find xtr's fd for the build if anyone have it but is it possible to do custom work for any 34.9 derailleur clamp??
