How to give pills to your pets

I put the pill in some butter/marg and feed it that - works every time.

Crush pill into small amount of something strong and fishy - tinned pilchards for example - sometimes works!

method for dogs.

sit all 3 dogs down in front of you.
hold the pill & 2 smarties in your hand.
feed dog A a smartie
feed dog B a smartie
dog C sees A & B enjoying their smartie, gets giddy & swallows tablet without any fuss, hassle or arguement!

failing that, grab them by the snout & stuff it in the hold their gob shut for a few seconds till they swallow!


cats are buggers though. the old farm method is the best... stuff them in a welly, do whatever needs to be done then throw the welly down the yard!

From past cat experience, coating the pill in Marmite also works well (barmy as it may sound).
