help for VAR replacement floor pump hose

Hi, so here's what I've got. An old var floor pump from the 7/80's I would guess (https://sheldonbrown.com/var/images/var0040.jpg). I would like to resurrect her for action, however, the hose and the valve attachment is rather dated and needs replacing.

Weighing in the options. The cheapest would be to attach a more modern type hose already fitted with a double ended attachment to schrader/presta. Such as https://www.xxcycle.com/zefal-z-twin-he ... 8a,,en.php . or an SKS etc. My question to everyone; would the part that screws into the pump be a universal size, fits all? It looks like a bolt that screws down crank arms, such as the one found on stx cranks, fits. Although the threading isn't the same, but just an example of the sizing required. It appears to measure about 7mm across. I can't find a website that gives details on the sizing. Heres a further pic:

I'd wager that it's a 1/4" BSP, although it could be a taper thread, such as BSPt or NPT, but being French, it could be something else entirely. Unlikely to be metric, but possible.

A thread gauge will be your friend here, but it could be something obscure.

I would say it was 1/8th npt. why not re use the existing couplings and just find some suitable tubing?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Effectively, I think the easiest option would be to re-use the existing drive part with a new hose and valve. I just spent the last hour doing just that. Thanks for the link to that BBB hose end as it just reminded me that theres a local lbs that supplies bbb parts. I'm going to check them out tomorrow.
